Lauren Schambach, PhD

Lauren Schambach is an Ocean Engineer at the MITRE Corporation with research interests in numerical modeling of complex large scale natural disasters. She received her BS, MS, and PhD in Ocean Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.

Savanna Smith

Savanna Smith is a lead AI engineer at the MITRE Corporation, where she leverages machine learning, software development, and agile leadership for applications like greenhouse gas accounting and wildfire mitigation. Savanna has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut and will complete her Masters in Environmental Management in May 2023.

His work is primarily focused on underwater acoustics, wildfire course of action determination, and climate. He received a B.S./B.A in Electrical Engineering and B.A. in Physics from the University of San Diego.

Michael Doyle is an AI Research Engineer at the MITRE Corporation. His work and research is primarily focused on underwater acoustics, LLMs, simulation, and software development. He received a BS/BA in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Physics from the University of San Diego.

Aidan Fennelly

Aidan Fennelly is a Data Science Engineer at the MITRE Corporation. His work is primarily focused on MLOps, Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision, and Software Engineering. He received a BS in Mathematics: Probability and Statistics and a minor in a Computer Science from the University of California San Diego.

Dhanuj Gandikota

Dhanuj Gandikota is an AI Research Engineer at the MITRE Corporation. His work is primarily focused on integrating AI advances within climate, geospatial, and environmental systems. He received a BS in Computer Science, BS in Data Science, and a BS in Ecology, Evolution & Biodiversity from The University of Michigan.

Chris Kempis

Chris Kempis is a Software Engineer at the MITRE Corporation. His primary focus is in agile software development and machine learning. He received a BS in Computer Science from the University of California Santa Cruz and will receive a Masters in Computer Science from Georgia Tech in 2024.

Alex Tapley

His research is primarily focused on reinforcement learning, computer vision, explainable AI, and adversarial AI. He holds a combined BS in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Northeastern University.
